Building your own home may have been a life-long dream, but when it comes time to make the selections that will bring your dream to life, the overwhelm can sink in. We have partnered with Homebuyers Centre Victoria to create carefully curated schemes that will take the stress out of achieving your dream home. Each design scheme offers a complimentary palette of tones, textures, fittings and finishes. These inspirational schemes are inclusive of a range of products that work seamlessly together, to create contemporary homes that appeal to the individual tastes of their customers.
Are you Industrial or Urban? The exterior colours for these two schemes both have that New York/Melbourne vibe with rich bricks and dark accents – but as you enter the homes you’ll notice a different feel.
The industrial scheme features dark base cabinetry to the kitchen and the timber-look overheads – definitely a statement. The Urban scheme will suit the homebuyer who prefers a white wall tile to their bathroom and a neutral colour scheme inside. We recommend black tapware with both of these schemes but you could definitely do chrome if you prefer.
The Industrial Scheme
The Industrial scheme has evolved into a genre of interior design that appeals to those who like the warmth of exposed brick interiors but with the glamour of brushed metal fixtures, and the comfort of high-end soft furnishings. Perfect for the young professional couple, the Homebuyers Centre’s spin on this trend combines hard-wearing, textural elements, with sleek and stylish finishes. This colour scheme is for those who like to go bold or go home (or in this case, design a bold home to go home to).
Standard inclusions from this range include exposed red brick exteriors with black (Monolith) fascias and guttering. Neutral earthy tones are framed by dramatic black for a simple but effective aesthetic contrast. Black Clark tapware, Caesarstone benchtops (in Snow) and Dulux (White Exchange Half) are just some of the reputable brands bringing this ultra-modern aesthetic to life for the urban-dwelling homemaker.
Optional upgrades to elevate the glamour element, and add a touch more luxe, include popular hexagon shaped wall tiles and premium flooring (Artesan Cream) – seriously on trend for 2019 interiors. Paired with warm toned leather lounges like this one from Ikea and a simple but lush rug from Adairs, it’s a design scheme to rival even the glossiest home magazine covers.
Is Industrial the scheme for you?
The Industrial scheme combines the best of masculine and feminine elements of interior and exterior design and isn’t a design concept that will be disappearing any time soon. It’s a style which really appeals to the inner city dweller with a love for edgy design. Check out the complete curated Industrial collection by Homebuyers Centre here.
The Urban Scheme
Urban is bold and edgy, oozing sophistication with black grout, exposed brick exterior, and grey floorboards. It encapsulates the best elements of your favourite hipster café and transports it home with you. This concept delivers the perfect urban retreat for the young professional couple and a haven from the big city buzz.
Standard inclusions of the Urban scheme include dark accents which highlight the architectural features of the home with Dulux Monument and Color Cote Monolith. These make a statement with the exterior of the home and, combined with Chestnut exposed brick exterior, exudes a warm welcome as you pull in the drive. Once you venture inside, a neutral palette of greys and whites, accented by dark grout and slick Black Orbit carpet, complete the ultra-modern look of the home.
Optional upgrades to the exterior include Access Stone bricks and a Color Cote Monolith metal roof. To really add some luxe touches to the interior you can choose to upgrade the kitchen benchtop to Caesarstone Symphony Grey and select the Ceramic Listello White Gloss tiles for both the kitchen and vanity splashbacks. A combination of Artesan 130 Cream flooring and Episode Bluestone carpet complete the perfect Urban look.
Is the Urban Scheme for you?
The sophisticated inner city buyer will feel at home in the Urban design scheme. It’s a collection of fixtures and fittings that will appeal to couples and families always on the go and with an eye for modern design. Its visual contrasts are contemporary, whilst still allowing the home owner to stamp their own unique style on the property with use of bold colour in the soft furnishings. We love Adairs range of Vintage Washed Linen quilt covers and think the vibrant shade of Ivy would really bring any bedroom in the Urban designed home to life.
